Family-owned excavation and landscaping in Huntsville
Chief Excavation and Landscaping helps homeowners and commercial property owners in Huntsville and surrounding North Alabama communities care for and improve their outdoor spaces. Our services include excavation, grading, drainage work, landscaping, land and ditch clearing, seasonal cleanups, and commercial lawn care.
Our story
CEAL began in 2018. The name “Chief” comes from Andrew Young’s Navy rank when he retired. We started with moving dirt, grading property, and leveling uneven ground. As customers asked us to help with other projects, our services grew.
Today, owners Andrew and Melissa Young continue building a family business with the goal of earning lasting customer relationships.
Meet the owners
Andrew Young
Andrew is a retired Navy Chief whose experience includes leading teams, planning work, training others, and solving problems. After three submarine tours, he welcomed the opportunity to work outdoors. That background shapes his practical approach to the challenges property owners bring to CEAL.
Melissa Young
Melissa brings more than 15 years of proposal and technical-writing experience, including coordinating detailed requirements and reviewing work for quality. Her strengths in clear communication, organization, and attention to detail complement the family business.
What you can expect
Our Christian values and military work ethic guide the way we approach our work: honest conversations, respect for your property, and care in following through on the agreed project.
Start by telling us what you want to accomplish and where your property is located. We can discuss the site, access, project scope, and next steps. Ask about preparation, materials, and debris handling so expectations are clear before work begins.
